Anna & Ben's Mt. Hope Cemetery Engagement Session
I was out one morning, testing a new type of film on a walk around my neighborhood, and stopped by a cafe to grab a coffee. While I waited, Anna (who I’d seen before as a great conversationalist with all her patrons) asked me about my camera, and I told her I was prepping for a wedding. Wouldn’t you know it, she was engaged and planning her wedding! A couple of weeks later, we met (and I met her baby!) to lay out the type of day she was looking for.
When the snow melted, we knew we wanted to walk around Mt. Hope Cemetery, where the likes of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass’s graves lie. It is an absolutely gorgeous park, with curvy hills and valleys, mausoleums, ponds, cobblestone, and historic structures. It fits Anna & Ben’s style so well, and getting to include their adorable son (complete with baby Doc Martens) made for such a fun afternoon, perfectly fit in between rain storms and freezing weather.
